Later in the morning of Thursday June 3rd at 1026 Hrs The Great Cacapon Volunteer Fire Company was again alerted for a 2 vehicle accident head on in the 5400 block of Rockford Road. Rescue Engine 2 responded at 1030 Hrs. Rescue Engine 2 arrived on scene to find two vehicles that had collided head on with 1 patient transport and 1 patient refusal. Rescue Engine 2 established command (Jason Steiner). Medic 73 transported the patient to the hospital with minor njuries. Command advised of al hazards cleared from the roadway at 1142 Hrs. All units returned to service at 1142 Hrs.

On the morning of Thursday June 3rd at 0808 Hrs The Great Cacapon Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a fuel spill in the 2260 block of Detour Road. Rescue Engine 2 responded with a crew of 3. While enroute dispatch advised of an unknown amount in the roadway with no idea of how it got there. Rescue Engine 2 arrived at 0824 hrs to find aprroximately 10 gallons that had already been contained. Crews cleaned up the containment and returned to service at 0850 Hrs.

On the afternoon of Monday May 31st The Great Cacapon Volunteer Fire Company was alerted the snake bite at 176 Spring Street. Rescue Engine 2 and BLS 2 responded from the boot on Central Avenue. Units arrived to find a child that had been bitten by a copperhead snake. Medic 74 transported the victim to the hospital. Rescue Engine 2 and BLS 2 returned to service and went enroute back to the boot drive.

within 5 minutes of returning to the boot drive The Great Cacapon Fire Department was again alerted for a shooting victim on Detour Road. BLS 2 with a crew of 3 and Medic 74 Responded. BLS 2 requested Rescue Engine 2 to assist for the landing zone. Rescue Engine 2 responded with a crew of 4 and the Chief to Hammerhill Lane and Detour Road for the landing zone setup. Dispatch advised command and Chief 2 that the Heli was grounded due to weather. Medic 74 advised Dispatch they were transporting to the hospital and all units returned to service.

On the evening of Tuesday May 25th at 1537 Hrs The Great Cacapon Volunteer Fire Company was alerted to assist Company 1 (Berkeley Springs Fire) for a reported fully involved residential structure fire in the 5000 block of River Road. Rescue Engine 2 responded with a crew of 3 and Tanker 2 responded with a crew of 2. WHile units were enroute dispatch advised of the possible entrapment. Engine 51 (Hancock Md Fire) arrived on the scene advising of a fully involved residential structure with partial collapse. Rescue Engine 2 was diverted to Potomac Road for Draft operations. All occupants of the residence were accounted with no entrapment. Units on scene Rescue Engine 2, Engine Tanker 2, Tanker 2 (Great Cacapon Fire), Engine 11, Squad 1, Tanker 12, Suburban 1 (Berkeley Springs Fire), Tanker 320 (South Morgan Fire), Engine 51, Engine 53 (Hancock Fire), Tanker 43 (Little Orleans Fire), Tanker 55 (Needmore Pa Fire), Engine 35, Tanker 32 (Hedgesville Fire), Medic 74 (Morgan County Rescue), Rehab Unit 255 (Washington County Fire). All units returned to service at 1934 Hrs.

On Thursday May 13th at 1050 Hrs The Great Cacapon Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a station transfer to Company 1 (Berkeley Springs Fire) who was on the scene of a propane leak on South Washington Street. Rescue Engine 2 responded. At 1106 Hrs after completing the transfer command 1 advised dispatch of the request for Rescue Engine 2 to the scene of the leak. This information prompted the dispatch of Rescue Engine 2. Rescue Engine 2 arrived on the scene at 1108 Hrs and assisted with operations and placed an 1 1/2 hoseline in operation. Route 522 was completely shut down during the incident.Units on scene Rescue Engine 2 (Great Cacapon Fire), Engine 11, Subarban 1 (Berkeley Springs Fire), Engine 53 (Hancock Fire), Engine 43 (Little Orleans Fire), Morgan County Rescue assisted with an evacuation of the area. All units returned to service at 1558 Hrs.

On Thursday April 29th at 1324 Hrs The Great Cacapon Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a residential structure fire with possible extension to a barn in the 2900 block of Cacapon Road. Engine Tanker 22, Tanker 2, and BLS 2 responded. While enroute dispatch advised of the possible need for 4 wheel drive to access the fire. This information prompted the the dispatch of Brush 26 and Brush 2. Engine Tanker 22 and Engine 11 (Berkeley Springs Fire) arrived on scene to find the residence on the ground with a about an acre brush fire. Assistant Chief 1 established command and Engine Tanker 22 laid 500' of supply line back the driveway to access the fire Engine 11 set up a fold' a tank and supplied Engine Tanker 22. The fire was brought under control within 30 minutes. It was determined that there was no extension to the barn. Units on scene Engine Tanker 22, Tanker 2, Brushs 26, Brush 2, BLS 2 (Great Cacapon Fire), Engine 11, Tanker 12 (Berkeley Springs Fire), Engine 53 (Hancock Fire), Tanker 55, brush 55 (Needmore Fire), Brush 32 (Paw Paw Fire), Tanker 43 (Little Orleans Fire), Special thanks to all those who came to help.

On Wednesday April 21st at 1425 Hrs The Great Cacapon Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for the brush fire in the 1000 block of Power House Road. Brush 26 responded with a crew of 2 as well as Engine Tanker 22 with a crew of 2. Brush 26 advised dspatch of heavy smoke showing from the station. Wjile enroute dispatch advised unit of member Andy Stotler on the scene reporting a half acre involved. Brush 26 arrived to confirm this at 1431 Hrs and firefighter Jason Steiner assumed command and requested a second brush unit from station 2 as well as brush 32 (Paw Paw Fire) and a tanker from Coompany 1 (Berkeley Springs Fire). Within minutes of the dispatch both brush 2 and brush 32 responded Engine Tanker 22 deployed an attack line up the right flank to knock down the fire. Brush 26 made access from an old logging road to the top of the fire. The fire was contained and knocked down in 20 minutes with op up operations. units remained on the scene and were placed back in service at 1556 Hrs.

On Sunday April 18th at 1800 Hrs The Great Cacapon Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for the mutual assist to Hampshire County for the Mountain Fire. Brush 26 responded with a crew of 3. Engine Tanker 22 was alerted for the station transfer to Paw Paw Volunteer Fire Company (32) Engine Tanker 22 responded with a crew of 2. Brush 26 arrived and deployed 400' of 1" on to the 300' already in place to try and reach the bulk of the fire. Brush 26 was placed back in service at 2300hrs.

On Saturday April 10th at 1850 Hrs The Great Cacapon Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for the mutual assist to Company 32 (Paw Paw Fire) for the station transfer while Company 32 was on a brush fire in Hampshire County. Engine Tanker 22 responded with 2 at 1852 Hrs. Engine Tanker 22 returned to service at 2050 Hrs.

On Friday April 9th at 1636 Hrs The Great Cacapon Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for the mutual assist to Company 1 (Berkeley Springs Fire) for the brush fire at Henry O Michael Road. Tanker 2 responded with 2 at 1638 Hrs. Tanker 2 arrived on scene at 1654hrs and supplied Tanker 12 with a load of water. Tanker 2 returned to service at 1725 Hrs.
